Lodging
  • The Amherst Soccer Association has blocked 1000+ hotel and motel rooms for the weekend in close proximity to the tournament fields. Rooms will be available at the published rates.
  • All teams requiring lodging must reserve their rooms through our official tournament housing coordinator, A & B Travel. In accordance with the USYSA rules all of the hotels and rooms rates are posted on this website for the coming year’s tournament. PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORMS AND RETURN TO A&B TRAVELTO BOOK YOUR ROOMS. DO NOT CALL THE HOTELS DIRECT.
  • The Housing coordinator has negotiated room rates and they are available throughout the tournament to resolve any issues that may come up. Also the club does receive some rebates from the hotels for the rooms that are booked through our housing coordinator, so it is a win win situation for all parties. This is a fundraiser for our club and we do appreciate the teams that do help us out and use our housing coordinator. Thank you.
  • There is no need to contact the housing coordinator if your team does not require lodging (i.e. you will be commuting to the tournament from home)
  • Information about how to secure lodging is available directly from our travel coordinator.  This information will include a list of hotels, a reservation request form, and a team rooming list for each team to complete and return.
  • If your club is planning on bringing a large number of teams please contact the tournament director early for special instructions

  • Frequently asked questions:

Q: What is the price range for hotel rooms?

A: The room rate ranges from about $80 to $150 per room, depending on the type of room and the hotel selected. Adjoining rooms are often available. Suites and other special room types may be available depending on the hotel.

Q: Do we have to stay for a minimum number of nights?

A: Some of our hotels do require a minimum stay of two nights, while others do not. Please be sure to indicate your preferences when communicating with our lodging coordinator via the reservation request form so that she can help you select an appropriate hotel.

Q: How do we know whether to reserve a room for Sunday night?

A: We suggest that strong teams with a good possibility of placing in the top couple positions of an age bracket make Sunday night reservations. Our hotels are generally very accommodating, and will typically allow you to reduce or extend your stay as required (as long as the minimum stay is met). Please discuss this issue with our lodging coordinator when making reservations, and the hotel staff upon your arrival. In the history of the tournament we have never had a team unable to secure rooms for Sunday night if it becomes necessary.

Q: Can we request a late 1st game on Saturday so a Friday night stay is not required?

A: The tournament committee can not guarantee when your first (or last) game will be. In addition, all teams must check-in on Friday evening and all coaches (or their appointed representative) should plan on being on hand to receive any last minute schedule or location changes.
