"Thank You so much for the uniforms and the soccer balls that you donated for the Hilbert College Service Learning trip to Kenya.  Our students were very excited to see the number and condition of the items donated by the Amherst Soccer Association.  The students in Kenya were thrilled at receiving the balls and the uniforms.  The one group of students literally pulled their clothes off in the classroom in order to put on the uniforms. These students were in a school in Kaloleni, Kenya.  If you look closely at the ground that the students are standing on, this is their soccer field!  In fact, I saw a team if 17 & 18 year olds playing a game on this uneven field with large patches of hard bare dirt.  Some of the players had spikes, some had old sneakers, and some played in their bare feet!"
