Goalies Noah S. and Griffin    Team Captains - Jeffrey and Noah

        A great game was played by an enthusiastic Feyenoord Club.  With three subs there was sure to be plenty of playing time and a lot of scoring chances.  This was the first game for new comers Stevie, Reed, and Kellen, and boy did they show up.  Great goaltending was had by Noah and Griffin with only one goal being had by the opposition on a rebound.  It was also good to see Harrison playing again with Feyenoord, and with the continued strong performances by Collin and Jeffrey....Look Out.  Jack and Rory came very close to stealing the show with many attempts and intense scoring chances keeping the defense on their heels.  Noah B, Nasir, Jacob and Josh were sadly missed.

     Game MVP - Collin - For outstanding runs, great teamwork, awesome passing and for the wonderful goal scored with his RIGHT FOOT!!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Game 2 Feyenoord vs Lions  – 1/20/08  – 1:00pm - Result: 3-2 Win

        It was a good start with what seemed to be a close match with the Lions. Coach Jay split the team up into pairs to work on teamwork and how to communicate.  It was good to see everyone wanting to get out there and play.  I think the days of being comfortable on the sidelines are gone.  I really liked how the boys are concentrating on the game even when they are not on the field.  After going up 1-0 early in the first half the boys were feeling confident.  After 2 unanswered goals by the Lions and only three mintes to play.  The coaches made a last minute change which proved to be correct.  Collin knocked in the game winner with under a minute to play.  Way to go Boys! 

Game MVP - Jeff- For outstanding persistence, wonderful teamwork, hardcharging aggressiveness and for the 2 goals scored!!!!!

Game 3 Feyenoord vs Nitros – 1/27/08 – 11:00am- Result: 12-0 Win

Today’s game was about passing, playing the ball the way you were facing and lastly LEARNING the number system 2,5,6,7,8,and 10.  Coach Casey and I were very impressed in the boys ability to catch on, and use the numbers to identify their positions.  Keep it up boys you will have to remember them for a long time.  A couple of key things that happened during the game:  SWITCHING of the field by the defense.  Defenders PUSHED UP into the play when it was on their side, and playing the ball in the direction that you are facing.  Next we are going to have to focus on getting the ball WIDER and towards the FLAGS
