FUSION WINS INDOOR TITLE
ASA Fusion 2 - Northtown Nitros -1

The Fusion won the U12 EPIC indoor league with a last second (47 seconds left) goal by Sugarman off a throw from Madison  to win the U12G indoor league.  Tori scored earlier off a corner kick in the second half to take a 1-0 lead with 6 minutes to play.  The Nitros came back with a long free kick that found it’s way through a crowd to tie the score.  The Fusion played a confident, controlled game with every player understanding her role and playing her position well.  Tavia, Woodrow and Flash were rock solid on defense.  Flasch stepped in to win balls and stop attacks.  Tavia covered for teammates with speed and positioning.   Rachel, Emily, Madison, Tori, Sarah O, Madison, and Sugarman were relentless on the attack and controlling the middle of the field.  They took the play to the Nitros from the opening whistle and kept most of the play out of our end.  Aria played great defense, solid mid and was a calming influence winning balls everywhere.  Natalie gets my MVP for taking on the roll to man-mark the most dangerous Nitro (15 goals indoor), holding her to one shot on goal and one semi-breakaway.  Lauren stopped several tough shots, made good decisions and came out for balls with agressiveness and confidence.  Great team win.  Confidence, poise and determination.
