Team Goals & Expectations

* General
 - Attend at least 75% of team activities
 - Contact the coach if cannot attend a game or practice, as early as possible
 - Come prepared to play
 - Do our best
 - Be on time
 - Listen to and respect the coaches
 - Practice good sportsmanship to players, opponents, coaches, referees & parents
 - Bring a pumped up ball and water bottle with name on them
 - Where shin pads
 - Take off jewelry before playing to avoid injuries
 - Tie my hair back, if necessary
 - Attendance, participation and effort will all affect who starts in the games
 
* Skills:
 - Improve fitness, endurance, speed & body control
 - Challenge aggressively and mark up quickly
    - Back-up & protect my keeper
 - Passing:
      - consistently use good technique and improve strength with both feet
      - quicker decision making
      - getting everyone involved
      - using space
      - passing in a way that is easier for teammates to control
 - Receiving:
      - consistently use good technique
      - quicker decision making
      - beneficial 1st touch
      - control bouncing balls (incl. heading the ball) - preferably no more than 1 bounce
 - Shoot and finish with both feet, aiming at corners and following shots
 - Kicking:
      - consistently use good technique with both feet
      - improve strength & variety of kicks
      - no unnecessary toe balls
 - Dribble by keeping the ball close & attempt moves when opportunities arise
 - Team Shape: 
      - stay in position & move without the ball
      - spread the field and use space
      - positively remind teammates
 - Throw ins: strive for making all throws good, develop varied strategies & increase strength
 - Goalie Play (if applicable):
      - good distribution technique and improve strength on punts, throws & rolls
      - get the ball to teammates quicker and easier for them to handle
      - develop my positioning and ball control
      - attend as many goalie clinics as possible
 - Set Plays (corners, goalie kicks, center kicks, free kicks):
      - improve our positioning
      - mark up
      - set walls
      - improve our executing practices strategies
 - Improve upper-body play (shielding the ball & body positioning)
 - Communicate constructively on the field
 - Ask questions
 - Play with positive passion/enthusiasm, pride & confidence
 
* And above all else, HAVE FUN !!
