Fantastic year ladies! As our team motto states, you started strong and finished strong. Hard to believe we started indoor practices 9 months ago!
Be proud of your achievements. No doubt victories are nice (which we did a very good job), but I am more pleased with our quality of play. Some examples:
- Our passing game looks beautiful at times. As good as the pros! Give-n-gos and overlaps are becoming a bigger part of our game.
- Ball control moves - although we can continue to get quicker, I liked the creativity.
- Shielding the ball - I am really pleased how our team got "tougher" this year, but in a fair, sportsmanlike way.
- Midfield play - I like how you adapted to a third level of field positions.
- Throw-ins - nice to see at the U10 level our team rarely makes a bad throw-in.
- Left (Opposite foot) - Nice to see that for several of you, your "weaker" leg, is not so weak any more and that you are using it more naturally.
- Good habits - I am extremely pleased to see that you are developing good habits, such as not toe-balling. The strength will come and trust me, the things you can begin to do with the ball!
- Team shape - No muffins on our team!
- Teamwork - Thanks for being a focused group with a great attendance record. You make it fun for me!
Keep practicing over the next few months and I will see you in the fall!
