Team Goals & Expectations

* General

 - Attend at least 75% of team activities

 - Contact the coach if cannot attend a game or practice, as early as possible
 - Come prepared to play
 - Do our best
 - Be on time
 - Listen to and respect the coaches
 - Practice good sportsmanship to players, opponents, coaches, referees & parents
 - Before joining practice - 20 jumping jacks and 20 fast feet to warm up
 - Bring a pumped up ball and water bottle with name on them
 - Wear shin pads
 - Take off jewelry before playing to avoid injuries
 - Tie my hair back, if necessary
 - Take a water break when needed and then get right back into the practice
 - Attendance, participation and effort will all affect who starts in the games
* Skills:
 - Throw ins: at least 9 out of 10 should be good during game
 - Kicking: eliminate "unnecessary" toe balls
 - Passing:
      - quicker decision making
      - getting everyone involved
      - using space
      - passing in a way that is easier for teammates to control
 - Shape on the field: "Don’t be a Muffin!"
      - play 1-2-3-1 (1 goalie, 2 defense, 3 midfielders, 1 offense/striker)
      - try other formations, if needed (such as girl-to-girl coverage)
 - Goalie Play (if applicable):
      - good technique on punts
      - get the ball to teammates quicker and easier for them to handle
      - work on throwing strength
 - Set Plays (corners, goalie kicks, center kicks, free kicks):
      - improve our positioning
      - mark up
      - set walls
 - Improve upper-body play:
      - shielding the ball
      - body positioning
 - Playing bouncing balls (no more than 1 bounce)
* And above all else, HAVE FUN !!
